Tranquille Road sewer main project to resume next Monday
KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops is champing at the bit to continue construction on a major public works project on the North Shore.
In a news release, the City says the sewer main replacement along Tranquille Road will restart next Monday (Mar. 1).
Last year, contractor Extreme Excavating completed the portion stretching from Southill Street to Singh Street. The second and final phase, taking place this year, will replace the length of pipe from Singh Street to Twelfth Street.
While the sanitary sewer main replacement is the main component of the project, finishing work will also see upgrades added to Tranquille Road, including improvements to intersections, boulevards and landscaping.
