Kanye West’s failed Presidential run may have been a major factor in Kim Kardashian’s decision to file for divorce.
A source told People, “He thinks that the Presidential run was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Before that, there was hope. After that, none. It cost him his marriage.”
Sources told the outlet that things hit a breaking point in July when West revealed during a campaign rally that the couple considered aborting their daughter North in 2012.
The 43-year-old rapper told the crowd, “Even if my wife wants to divorce me after this speech, she brought North into the world even when I didn’t want to. She stood up and she protected that child.”
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star filed for divorce from West on Friday (February 19th), after seven years of marriage.
