Kamloops Corryn Brown struggling in early stages of Scotties

KAMLOOPS — It hasn’t been the start BC was looking for at the Scotties. The Corryn Brown rink is 0-and-2 after a 9-5 loss to Quebec followed by a 14-5 loss to Manitoba’s Jennifer Jones. BC will face 0-and-3 Nunavut this afternoon (Monday).

In Pool B, Brown sits 7th. Wild Card #1 skipped by Chelsea Carey, is 3-0. Carey’s rink disbanded after last year’s Scotties, and she was picked up by Tracy Fleury, who decided to miss the Scotties this year to take care of her young daughter who has a medical condition.

Pool A is a close one. Kerri Einarson’s team Canada rink is 3-0, as is Rachel Homan’s foursome from Ontario. Laura Walker from Alberta is 3-1.
