Grenier set to make Conservative candidacy public

KAMLOOPS — Another name is expected to be tossed into the political ring on Monday.
Long time resident Michael Grenier has a Zoom news conference set for 10:00 AM Monday morning, at which time he is expected to announce he will seek the Conservative nomination for Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo in the next federal election.
The incumbent,Cathy McLeod, has said she will not run again. Grenier, who has been heavily involved in the development of Tobiano over the years, as well as other projects, will join Tourism Kamloops CEO Beverley DeSantis in seeking the nomination.
No date for a nominating meeting has been set. Grenier had previously sought the Liberal nomination for Kamloops-North Thompson four years ago.
