Random Acts of Kindness Day on the loose in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — Random Acts of Kindness Day is a day intended to recognize and support the little things people do that make a difference in the lives of others.

To commemorate the occasion, the Kamloops RCMP Crime Prevention Unit has targeted people who are doing good rather than bad on Feb. 17.

“Of all the years to show some kindness, this is the year,” Cpl. Dana Napier said. “We wanted to let all of the ages in our community know we are thinking of them and wanted to offer a small gift of appreciation. A simple act of kindness can go a long way to help brightening a person’s day.”

Toddlers received teddy bears, students received Slurpee vouchers and seniors and Royal Inland Hospital staff received bags with items and thank-you notes.
