Petition launched to keep convicted murderer in jail

KAMLOOPS — An online petition has been launched in an attempt to keep David Shearing, who goes by the name of Ennis today, behind bars.

The man convicted of killing six members of the Johnson and Bentley families in 1982 in Wells Gray Park, is due for another parole hearing this summer and the victims’ family members don’t want to be forced to go through another one.

The petition has to be submitted before May 1. For a link Google “change.org david shearing.”
