KAMLOOPS — The Conservation Officer Service (COS) is warning Kamloops residents of more bobcat and lynx sightings in the city than normal.

The message comes after a bobcat was spotted in the Hugh Allan Drive area on Tuesday (Feb. 16).

COS said there have been no reports of any pets being attacked by this bobcat, but it may become aggressive if approached by people or pets.

Residents are encouraged to keep pets on a leash when outside and to avoid leaving out attractants that can be accessed by wild animals.
