Royal Inland Hospital COVID-19 outbreak stable; three other Kamloops outbreaks grow

KAMLOOPS — Interior Health (IH) says three of the four active COVID-19 outbreaks in Kamloops grew marginally over the long weekend, the largest stayed stable.

In an email update, IH says the Royal Inland Hospital outbreak remains at 105 cases — 36 patients and 69 staff. One death has been connected to the outbreak.

The outbreak at Gemstone Care Centre in Brocklehurst grew from 31 to 32 cases, including 24 residents and eight staff. Two deaths have been caused by the outbreak there.

At Highridge Home and Singh House, there are now 13 cases — five residents and eight staff members.
