Kamloops-Thompson School District to host town hall meeting on COVID-19 in schools
KAMLOOPS — School District 73 is holding a virtual town hall meeting this evening (Feb. 11) with Interior Health Medical Health Officer Dr. Carol Fenton.
The school district has experienced an increase in COVID-19 school exposures since students returned from the Christmas break. Superintendent Terry Sullivan says he has been keeping parents informed through emails, but wanted to give students and parents the opportunity to ask questions.
“We have 44 questions that have already been submitted,” Sullivan said. “We’ve divided those questions up into themes. I’m going to try to — after Dr. Fenton makes her opening remarks and has some slides that she wants to use, I have some slides — after we spend… a few minutes doing that we’ll try to address some questions from the themes and then we’ll open it up to chat.”
