COVID-19 outbreaks at Brocklehurst, Westsyde care homes grow
KAMLOOPS — While the COVID-19 outbreak at Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) has not grown Thursday (Feb. 11), two others have.
In an email, Interior Health (IH) says the RIH outbreak remains at 105 cases — 36 patients and 69 staff. The number of active cases has shrunk from 40 to 34 Thursday. One death is related to the RIH outbreak.
A COVID-19 outbreak at Highridge Home and Singh House in Brocklehurst has grown from seven to nine cases — one resident and eight staff. Eight cases are considered active.
At the Westsyde Care Residence, the outbreak has grown by one to 27 cases — 15 residents and 12 staff. Seventeen cases remain active and there is one death associated with the outbreak.
