Outbreak declared at Chartwell Carrington Place in Vernon

VERNON — Interior Health has declared a COVID-19 outbreak at a retirement residence in Vernon today (Feb. 10).
In a release the health authority states one resident has tested positive at Carrington Place Retirement Residence.
Everyone in close contact with this person is in self-isolation and monitoring for symptoms. Visits to the site have been paused at this time, and additional infection control measures have been implemented.
Carrington Place is a combined assisted living and independent living residence privately operated through Chartwell.
