TK’EMLUPS — Acting Tk’emlups Chief Justin Gottfriedson and council are warning the public about increasing spread of COVID-19 in the community.

In a memo to Tk’emlups te Secwepemc members, Gottfriedson says the community went from 12 to 20 known cases of the virus over the weekend. He says exposures are being discovered “at a rapid rate.”

Chief Rosanne Casimir herself has tested positive, urging members Friday to “take every safety precaution.”

In the memo, Gottfriedson instructs anyone with symptoms to stay home. He reminds people to resist the urge to visit friends and family.
