Slippery roads causing accidents

KAMLOOPS — The sun is shining, and that has made roads in the City pretty slick.
There have been a number of rollovers, multi-vehicle accidents and fender benders this morning. The City is sanding as quickly as possible, but RCMP and Kamloops Fire remind everyone that the temperatures, the bright sun and the overnight snowfall, have created some very slick areas..
Many of these accidents are being caused by drivers going too quickly for the conditions, possibly because they have not realized that the sun can create very dangerous driving conditions.
Highways are generally reported okay on the Drive B.C. web site, but they all are slippery, and some sections have compact snow and slush.
