Worker’s body recovered after fatal mud-rush incident at New Afton Mine

KAMLOOPS — The body of the man who died in a mud-rush incident at the New Afton Mine has been recovered.

Contractor driller Ray Rosenberg has been identified by family as the victim of the incident, which happened at 1:40 a.m. Tuesday (Feb. 2).

Two other workers suffered non-life threatening injuries.

According to New Gold, Rosenberg’s body was recovered at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 3).
