Justin Timberlake wishes people would just forget about the all-denim ensembles he and Britney Spears wore to the 2001 American Music Awards.

Speaking to the The Hollywood Reporter’s songwriters roundtable, the “Can’t Stop The Feeling” singer said, “I confess that there was maybe a period in the ’90s where I could skip over some of the outfits that were public, but the internet will never.”

John Legend made sure to bring up the “Denim on denim on denim that will never be forgotten,” to which Timberlake replied, “Thanks, John. Uh, no, the internet won’t allow me to forget them. So it’s all good.”
