KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP say the search for a man who went missing in the Thompson River last week has now ended after a body was discovered Tuesday afternoon (Feb. 2).
On Thursday evening (Jan. 28), witnesses reported seeing a man going into the river on the Tk’emlups Reserve side. He was seen bobbing up and down in the water before disappearing. The RCMP dive team and Kamloops Search and Rescue conducted multiple searches since then.
Cst. Crystal Evelyn with Kamloops RCMP says the dive team was able to locate a body Tuesday afternoon in the North Thompson River not far from the initial search area.
