Colombo Lodge cooking up 1,000 thank-you meals for Royal Inland Hospital staff
KAMLOOPS — To give thanks and support to Royal Inland Hospital staff, the Colombo Lodge and Italian Cultural Centre are showing their appreciation through food.
President Ross Spina says the community felt compelled to help out Kamloops hospital staff who are under extra stress during the pandemic. Between 11:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 3), healthcare workers can drive through the Colombo Lodge parking lot to pick up free pre-cooked meals.
“We’ll be serving 1,000 meals tomorrow — 500 meals for two — so 1,000 people will be fed tomorrow so that’s pretty exciting right.”
