Mausoleum expansion update

Continued updates to the mausoleum

PRINCE GEORGE — Construction continues on the City of Prince George’s Mausoleum Expansion Project.

As part of the operation, the City will need to close the facility to the public starting on February 1 to replace flooring and remodel part of the existing structure to match the expansion.

The City anticipates the Mausoleum will reopen to the public for regular hours on February 5. The cemetery will remain open during regular hours and expansion completion is expected to be done by the end of March.

The expansion is attached to the existing mausoleum and the update will provide numerous enhancements including; improved lighting, security systems, and security windows.
