Royal Inland Hospital COVID-19 outbreak did not grow from Thursday to Friday

KAMLOOPS — There is positive news related to the Royal Inland Hospital COVID-19 outbreak. Interior Health says the outbreak did not grow from Thursday to Friday.
According to the epidemiology report to the health authority, the hospital outbreak remains at 71 total cases — 46 staff and 25 patients. One person has died of virus spread from the outbreak.
The outbreak remains confined to the hospital’s surgical ward on 6 South. Some patients are being cared for in the RIH COVID-19 ward on 6 North.
