CACHE CREEK, B.C. — RCMP say the mystery surrounding an abandoned rental vehicle found in Cache Creek filled with drug production supplies is deepening.

Mounties called the federal RCMP Clandestine Laboratory Enforcement and Response (CLEAR) team to Cache Creek last Tuesday (Jan. 19) after the vehicle was found outside a local motel.

In an update provided Wednesday (Jan. 27), RCMP say examination of the vehicle, described as a 20-foot moving truck, has been completed and has resulted in the seizure of “high end equipment, large amounts of chemicals, precursors and several firearms.”

Investigators believe the vehicle was taking drug-making supplies to or from a fentanyl production operation.
