KAMLOOPS — The latest data from the B.C. Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) shows another jump in COVID-19 spread in Kamloops last week.
The Local Health Area (LHA) data contained in the map update for the week of January 17 to 23 shows 124 new cases of the virus in the Kamloops area. That is up from 97 the week previous.
New case counts were down in the Cariboo-Chilcotin area that includes Williams Lake, but were still very high. The area has been the site of a community cluster of COVID-19 cases.
Cases increased significantly in the Salmon Arm area, but decreased greatly in the Central Okanagan which includes Kelowna.
