100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — RCMP in 100 Mile House are looking to speak to a 7-11 customer in relation to a stolen vehicle that was found torched.

According to a news release, RCMP were called at about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday (Jan. 26) and told about a stolen pickup truck.

The owner, who lives in the 5500-block of 103 Mile Lake Road, reported he had let his dog out at that time only to find his white 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 truck missing. All of the keys were accounted for.

Later in the day, RCMP received a report of that same truck, burnt to the ground on a property near Lake of the Trees in the area of Forest Grove.

Investigation at the scene led Mounties to believe there was an item purchased from the 7-11 store on Highway 97 in 100 Mile House.

Surveillance video from the store at the approximate time revealed a person and vehicle of interest. The man was wearing a blue jacket and grey baseball cap and was driving a dark-coloured Dodge Journey.
