RCMP seek info on Kamloops man’s pre-arrest activities

KAMLOOPS — RCMP would like to know if you have some information about a recent Kamloops arrestee.

Last Saturday (Jan. 23) at about 11:00 p.m., Mounties were called to Jasper Avenue after the report of a domestic disturbance, according to an RCMP release.

Not far away, officers noticed two men in a vehicle despite being on “release conditions prohibiting them from being in a vehicle without the registered owner present.”

One of the men, Kamloops resident Cody Housego, 26, is facing charges of possessing ammunition while prohibited, failing to comply with a release order by possessing drugs, and failing to comply with a release order by being in a motor vehicle without the registered owner present.

In the meantime, RCMP would like to know more about where he was prior to his arrest, which is why they are releasing his photo.

Crystal Evelyn in a release. “If you have specific information about Housego’s whereabouts between 11 p.m. on Friday January 22 to 11 p.m. on Saturday January 23, please contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file 21-2541.”
