B.C. averages 443 new cases of COVID-19 per day over the weekend; 31 more deaths recorded
VICTORIA — B.C.’s COVID-19 pandemic produced 1,330 new cases of the virus over the past three days — an average of about 443 cases per day.
Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry reported the new cases in a news conference Monday (Jan. 18) — 584 cases on Saturday, 445 on Sunday and 301 on Monday.
Two-hundred fifty-seven of the new cases over the weekend were found in Interior Health, for an average of about 86 per day.
The 1,330 new cases bring B.C.’s total to 61,447 since the pandemic began, spread through B.C. as follows:
