KAMLOOPS — South Kamloops Secondary School (SKSS) is advising staff, students, and parents of another positive COVID-19 case at the school.

In an email to families this weekend (Jan. 17), SKSS Principal Walt Kirschner says another member of the school community tested positive and is self-isolating at home.

The school had previously sent an email on January 12 advising families of a positive case, with potential exposure dates of January 7, and 8.

The latest email cites January 12 and 13 as potential exposure dates for the second case.

If you are not contacted by public health it has been determined your student was not a close contact of the positive individual, and is not at risk from exposure. Students should continue to attend school unless they develop symptoms, or are contacted by public health.

As of Sunday the updated exposure information has not yet been added to Interior Health’s school exposure list online.
