COVID-19 exposures recorded at rural schools in Horsefly, Alkali Lake

HORSEFLY AND ALKALI LAKE, B.C. — There are a pair of newly-reported COVID-19 exposures at schools in the Cariboo.

A COVID-19-positive individual was present at Horsefly Elementary School in Horsefly this past Monday (Jan. 11).

That is the fifth currently-relevant exposure within the Cariboo-Chilcotin School District.

An an independent school, the Sxoxomic Community School in Alkali Lake, saw an exposure on January 6 and 7.

Public health officials are getting a hold of those who came in close contact with the COVID-19-positive individuals.
