COVID-19 exposure at Barriere Elementary

BARRIERE, B.C. — COVID-19 exposures have now been confirmed at both schools in Barriere.

According to a notice sent home to parents Wednesday (Jan. 13), an exposure took place at Barriere Elementary on January 5, 7 and 8.

It comes after an exposure at Barriere Secondary during all five days of last week.

The exposure at Barriere Elementary was confirmed on the school’s website, but as of Friday morning, it was still not included on the Interior Health school exposure website.

Those who have been in direct contact with COVID-19-positive individuals will be contacted by public health.
