KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP and CP Police are investigating after an empty vehicle was struck by a train last night in Valleyview.
In an email to CFJC Today, Canadian Pacific says around 11:00 p.m Monday night (Jan. 11), a freight train made contact with an unoccupied vehicle at the rail crossing on River Road / Thompson Drive.
There were no injuries to the crew. So far it is unclear why the vehicle was on the tracks and CP says a police investigation is ongoing.
