NETFLIX ESTABLISHES BLING EMPIRE: Mega-streamer Netflix is launching a reality series called Bling Empire, which is set to follow a group of wealth Asian-American pals around in L.A. The eight-part series is shot in Beverly Hills and follow the friends as they go from parties, to shopping sprees, to running multi-billion empires. The show will debut January 15^th; Christine Chiu, Kane Lim, Kelly Mi Li and Kevin Kreider are among the stars.

DAVE CREEK DIES: Bob’s Burgers’ lead character designer Dave Creek has died from injuries sustained in a skydiving incident. “Today we tragically lost our Lead Character designer and friend, Dave Creek,” Simon Chong, a director on the animated Fox series tweeted late on Thursday. “A wonderfully brilliant and talented man who I can guarantee designed your favorite character on Bob’s at some point. I’ll miss you, buddy x.” 20th Television, Fox Entertainment and its Bento Box Entertainment animation studio unit, which produces Bob’s Burgers, said in a statement: “We are heartbroken at the tragic passing of Dave Creek, an extraordinary artist who had been with Bob’s Burgers from day one. He was not just an incredible talent but a beautiful person as well, and our hearts go out to his family, friends and all his colleagues at the show who loved him and are grieving today.”

GEORGE CLOONEY ON TRUMP: Speaking to KCRW‘s The Business weekly podcast, George Clooney said that the pro-Trump supporters who rioted in D.C. put the outgoing president and his family in the “dustbin” of history. He added: “That name will now forever be associated with insurrection.”

ROKU SNAGS QUIBI LIBRARY: Roku has bought the library of the defunct startup Quibi. The deal means 75+ shortform shows, including Veena Sud‘s The Stranger and the Liam Hemsworth starrer Most Dangerous Game, will have a home. “We are thrilled that these stories, from the surreal to the sublime, have found a new home on The Roku Channel,” Quibi founder Jeffrey Katzenberg said in a statement.
