Kamloops airport losing two flights a week to Calgary following WestJet cutbacks

Jan 8, 2021 | 10:17 AM

KAMLOOPS — The operations manager at Kamloops Airport says there will be minimal impacts on flight schedules after WestJet announced a reduction of 160 domestic flights on Friday (Jan. 8).

Ed Ratuski says WestJet will operate two fewer flights per week from Kamloops to Calgary, with now only one flight per day Thursday and Sunday.

WestJet will continue to fly twice daily to Calgary on Monday, Tuesday and Friday. The once-daily flight schedule remains on Wednesday and Saturday.

Ratuski adds with the changes from WestJet, there will be an adjustment to the schedule of flights leaving Fulton Field.
