Police asking for information following altercations with two stolen vehicles

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP say a heavy police presence in Valleyview early this afternoon (Dec. 30) was in response to a stolen vehicle.
Around 1:30 p.m. today officers spotted a stolen vehicle along Frontage Road in Valleyview. As it left the area, members attempted to stop the car, which then struck a police cruiser at a high rate of speed. The officer was uninjured.
RCMP say the stolen vehicle was later found and recovered in Barnhartvale.
