Alexis Creek RCMP seize guns and drugs while arresting two people on Christmas Eve

ALEXIS CREEK – A report of a suspicious truck parked along Highway 20, turned into police seizure of guns and drugs on Christmas Eve (Dec. 24).

RCMP say the incident took place near Lee’s Corner, approximately 20 km southeast of Alexis Creek.

Upon their arrival, RCMP attempted to stop the vehicle. While the driver of the truck slowed, it never came to a stop. After boxing in the truck, the driver rammed the back of a police car and came to a stop.

Police arrested a 48-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman without incident. They seized a handgun, a loaded magazine, an empty high-power rifle magazine, suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, unknown powder and tablets as well as several duffel bags, plastic totes and boxes with suspected stolen merchandise.

There were no injuries in the incident.
