Williams Lake man bear-sprayed in attempted armed robbery

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — RCMP in Williams Lake are investigating an attempted armed robbery from Monday morning (Dec. 21).
According to an RCMP news release, it happened at about 8:20 a.m. at the Scotiabank on Second Avenue South.
A man went in to use the ATM at the bank when two men, already inside, demanded cash. The suspects bear-sprayed the victim and took off on foot without getting any money.
RCMP believe a third accomplice was outside the building.
