KAMLOOPS —Students within School District 73 have brought the Christmas spirit to seniors this week, with more than 1,300 cards delivered throughout the region.

S.D 73 says the project was spearheaded by two social workers from Royal Inland Hospital.

After seeing the impacts of increase isolation during the pandemic, Carla Williams and Brenda Tynan contacted the district office to see if any students would like to write Christmas cards for seniors. In a notice on the district website, Williams says principals around the Kamloops-Thompson area answered the call.
