Theatre icon Lanni Shupe passes away

KAMLOOPS — Another well-known resident of our city has passed away.

Lanni Shupe was a long-time associate of Western Canada Theatre, having been involved with the Company for several decades. Shupe passed away yesterday.

Then as Lanni McInnes, she studied under the founding artistic director of WCT, Tom Kerr, who passed away earlier this year. Shupe stayed with the company, participating as an executive, director, accomplished actress and guiding light in the theatre company’s development, along with her husband, former Judge Terry Shupe.

Shupe was an Honorary Life Board member.
