LOGAN LAKE, B.C. — Teck Resources, parent company of Highland Valley Copper, has donated $70,000 to Logan Lake-area food banks.

In a news release, Teck says it donated $50 on behalf of each employee at Highland Valley. That totals up to $17,500 to each of four organizations:

  • Kamloops Food Bank
  • Logan Lake Food Bank
  • Nicola Valley and District Food Bank
  • Lytton Anglican Food Bank

“We recognize the challenges that local organizations are facing due to COVID-19 and in the spirit of the holiday season we’re pleased to provide this support in the communities where our employees live and work,” said Highland Valley Interim General Manager Jason Sangha in the release.
