Twenty-one new COVID-19 cases found in Kamloops last week, down slightly from previous week

KAMLOOPS — The latest weekly numbers from the B.C. Centre for Disease Control show slightly less spread of COVID-19 in Kamloops.

The update to Local Health Area (LHA) spread is for the week of December 6 to 12.

It shows 21 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kamloops area. That’s down from 26 cases the previous week.

Once again, the most significant spread of the virus within the Interior is taking place in the Central Okanagan LHA, encompassing the city of Kelowna. There were 349 new cases found in that region last week, up from 314 the previous week.

These are some other LHA totals in the Kamloops vicinity, recorded last week:

  • Cariboo/Chilcotin – 3 (down by 4 from last week)
  • North Thompson – 0 (unchanged)
  • 100 Mile House – 0 (down by 1)
  • South Cariboo – 0 (down by 2)
  • Lillooet – 1 (up by 1)
  • Merritt – 1 (up by 1)
  • Vernon – 36 (up by 15)
  • Armstrong-Spallumcheen – 4 (up by 3)
  • Enderby – 0 (down by 1)
  • Salmon Arm — 11 (up by 6)
  • Revelstoke – 1 (down by 6)
