LOGAN LAKE and CLINTON, B.C. — Cram the Cruiser drives in Logan Lake and Clinton will help keep food banks in those communities well-stocked through the holiday season.

Logan Lake RCMP’s Cram the Cruiser event raised 434 items for the Logan Lake Food Bank, as well as $434 in gift cards and $300 in cash.

“It is the generosity of the community and local organizations that make this event such a success. This is why I love to live and work in small communities,” said Cpl. Jarett Duncan in a news release.

Up toward the South Cariboo, the local RCMP detachment partnered with the Elizabeth Fry Society to hold a drive-thru Cram the Cruiser event last Saturday.

It gathered 1,162 pounds of food, more than 400 toys and $4,400 in cash from local residents.

“We are so pleased with the generosity of our small community of only 650 residents,” said Cst. Marika Masters of the Clinton RCMP. “We’d like to thank not only all those who came out to donate to our cause, but the Elizabeth Fry Foundation for their collaboration. I am certain that the food, toys and funds we raised together will have such a positive impact on so many families this holiday season.”
