Salmon Arm RCMP arrest suspect in business break-and-enter

SALMON ARM — A 56-year-old Surrey man is facing charges after a theft in Salmon Arm last weekend.
Salmon Arm RCMP received a report that a business had been broken into overnight on Saturday (Dec. 5). More than $10,000 worth of items were stolen along with some cash.
RCMP identified Larry Ovens as a suspect and arrested him later that day after an officer located and stopped his vehicle.
Ovens has been charged with mischief, theft over $5,000 and break and enter theft.
