Mustard Seed Kamloops to open seven days a week

KAMLOOPS — The Mustard Seed is extending its hours of operation, beginning this Sunday (Dec, 13).

In order to better serve those in need, the Outreach Centre Day Room will be open seven days a week, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. This space was previously open Tuesdays to Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The overnight shelter will continue with its regular hours of 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.

“With the coldest month just around the corner and the COVID-19 pandemic still affecting our community, it’s very important for our vulnerable neighbours to have access to safe, indoor spaces,” Interim Managing Director Kelly Thomson said in a release. “We are really happy to be able to provide that space for them.”
