KAMLOOPS — Christmastime can be difficult for those who are grieving. With the overdose crisis worsening in B.C., many families will be missing a loved one this holiday season.

A memorial tree has been set up at the North Kamloops Library. People are invited to bring photos and hang ornaments on the tree to remember the life of someone they loved.

“It’s not always a holly jolly good time,” said Sandra Tully, a member of Moms Stop the Harm. “And if you’re grieving someone, we just thought that this would be a nice way of being able to express your grief.”
