TRU receives $750k donation to support Indigenous students

KAMLOOPS — BMO Financial Group is donating $750,000 to Thompson Rivers University in support of Indigenous students.
The funds will be used to provide scholarships and awards to Indigenous students. A total of $400,000 is earmarked for researchers in the Knowledge Makers program and $350,000 is for Indigenous students in the School of Nursing.
The BMO donation contributes to TRU’s Limitless campaign, which supports students, innovation, collaboration and building capacity. The campaign has a goal of $50 million.
With this donation, that fund sits at more than $46 million. BMO has contributed $1.35 million to the campaign so far.
