COVID-19 outbreak at RIH Patient Care Tower project declared over

KAMLOOPS — A COVID-19 outbreak called more than one month ago at the Royal Inland Hospital Patient Care Tower has now been declared over.

Interior Health (IH) informed the community of the declaration Tuesday (Dec. 8).

A total of 13 COVID-19 cases were connected to the outbreak. IH says two 14-day incubation periods have passed since the last case was found.

All of those who tested positive as part of the outbreak have now recovered and contacts of each case were contacted by public health officials for follow-up.
