Kamloops RCMP stop six impaired drivers during Counter Attack road checks
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are once again hitting the streets to ensure people are enjoying the holidays responsibly.
The Holiday Counter Attack campaign has already begun, with increased road checks targeting impaired drivers.
Over the last week, the Kamloops RCMP Municipal Traffic Unit cited a number of infractions at road checks throughout the city. Five drivers were impaired by alcohol, one by drugs. Police also stopped one prohibited driver and one unlicensed driver. In addition, there were ten other motor vehicle violations noted during the road checks.
The RCMP are reminding people not to get behind the wheel if they have consumed alcohol.
