Lewis Capaldi spoke with Variety about how it feels to be a “two-hit wonder”. The 24-year-old Scottish singer told the magazine that having “Someone You Loved” and “Before You Go” take the top spots on the charts in 2019 and 2020 respectively is “genuinely overwhelming.” He said, “I’ve soundtracked the worst year of many people’s lives. That’s quite a feeling!” (Variety)

Blackpink has been declared Variety’s Hitmakers Group of the Year. K-pop’s biggest girl group became massively successful in the U.S. this year thanks to the Netflix documentary “Light Up the Sky”, high-profile collaborations with Lady Gaga and Selena Gomez, and record breaking music videos like “How You Like That. The group told the magazine, “Releasing our first full-length album to the world was our proudest moment of this year. We were so happy and excited to release our album after a long time of contemplating and working on it!” (Variety)
