RCMP seek Merritt poacher

MERRITT – A buffalo calf has been killed in an apparent poaching incident near Merritt.

RCMP were called out to a ranch Saturday (Nov. 28) when a farmer discovered the calf. It had been shot and killed with an arrow.

It appears the killing took place a couple of days before the calf was discovered.

Mounties say poaching won’t be tolerated. Investigators are hoping someone has heard who the poacher is and will report the individual to the police.
