Halsey Snubbed by the Grammy’s

Halsey addressed being snubbed by the Grammy’s in her Instagram Stories on Saturday (November 28th).

According to Billboard, the singer wrote, “The Grammys are elusive process. It can often be about behind the scenes private performances, knowing the right people, campaigning through the grapevine, with the right handshake and ‘bribes’ that can be just ambiguous enough to pass as ‘not bribes.'”

She also mentioned that the Recording Academy also favors those who commit to exclusive TV performances.

The “Without Me” singer concluded by saying, “It’s not always about the music or quality or culture. While I am THRILLED for my talented friends who were recognized this year, I am hoping for more transparency or reform. But I’m sure this post will blacklist me anyway.”

To date, Halsey has received just two Grammy nominations, both four years ago. The singer was nominated for best pop duo/group performance for “Closer,” her collaboration with The Chainsmokers, and album of the year as a featured artist on Justin Bieber’s Purpose.
