McBRIDE, B.C. — Dave Landine is lucky to be alive.

On Friday (Nov. 27) the Prince George man, who is a contractor for Canada Post, was struck head-on by a snowplow on Highway 16 near McBride at the Goat River chain off area.

Dashcam video obtained by the vehicle he was driving captured the collision.

Amazingly, Landine tells CKPG Today he didn’t suffer any major injuries.

“Not really. I’m stiff and sore and I busted up some teeth when I clenched up on impact but seem to be fine.”

North District RCMP Cpl. Madonna Saunderson provided a few extra details to Global BC this afternoon.

“Evidence at this time suggests that the blade may have ‘caught’ some ice on the road, causing the snowplow to go into the east bound lane, colliding with the pickup.”

Landine is making any further comments at this time as he explores his options.
