Motel Fire

Overnight fire damages two units in Valleyview motel

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Fire Rescue (KFR) investigators are going over the scene of a fire at a Valleyview motel.

KFR crews were called to the Tournament Inn at about 12:45 a.m. Thursday (Nov. 26).

When firefighters arrived, they found a unit on the second floor of the motel in flames.

Crews were able to extinguish the flames, but the fire caused significant damage to the unit. The first-floor unit below had a fair amount of water damage caused by the response.
