REVELSTOKE, B.C. — Interior Health (IH) says a cluster of COVID-19 cases in Revelstoke is showing a concerning increase.

In a news release, IH says there have been 22 new cases of the virus in Revelstoke in the past two weeks. That includes 12 cases identified on Tuesday (Nov. 24) alone.

According to IH, social gatherings are responsible for some of the transmission in Revelstoke. Residents are reminded to limit social contact in accordance with the guidance of Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry.

The authority notes there have been no exposures in Revelstoke schools to this point, and health officials will continue monitoring this community cluster for potential growth.
